For those who don’t know, OFFF is an international festival focused on creativity, art, design, CGI, render, photography, and digital production, held in Barcelona.
The event takes place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona and brings together a large number of professionals from the industry, including artists working in Photoshop, Adobe tools, 3D, and visual content creation.
People travel from all over the world to experience OFFF. This year, it took place on April 16, 17, and 18.
So, what is the festival about?
It’s a mix of talks, events, workshops, and a lot of networking. That last part alone is a strong reason to go.
You’ll find hundreds of people working in CGI, render, photography, Photoshop, and Adobe workflows, all looking to keep creating and connect with others in the same field.
This year’s sponsors included Maxon, presenting updates for Cinema 4D and Redshift, SideFX with Houdini, and Adobe showcasing new AI tools that are changing the way we approach render, retouching, and photography.
The speakers were great.I really enjoyed watching Ross Mason, a YouTuber and Instagram creator I’ve followed for years, along with Found Studio and Volvox Labs. Amazing presentations focused on CGI, render pipelines, and high-end visual production.
How much does a ticket cost?
Usually, tickets range from around €150 for a single day to over €300 for all three days. With early bird offers, you can get them for about half the price.
So, what about the outside of OFFF?Is it worth buying a ticket?
I didn’t buy one, and honestly, I still had a great time staying outside.
I was able to catch some interesting talks.I especially liked Ross’s story about how he discovered Cinema 4D and started creating his renders, eventually reaching the level he’s at today.
I was also really impressed by the level of detail in Found Studio’s work and how they push for maximum realism in CGI and photography.
I had a great time, even if I was curious about what was happening inside.
Maybe next year.
